Please read these terms carefully before engaging Cara Christine Creates for any services. By submitting a project inquiry, signing a proposal, or making a payment, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Services
Cara Christine Creates offers web design, brand identity, product photography, and digital marketing services to small businesses and entrepreneurs. The specific scope of work for each project is outlined in a written proposal or project agreement provided prior to the start of any engagement.
Services are provided on a project basis. Ongoing maintenance or support beyond what is outlined in your package is available at an additional hourly rate, discussed and agreed upon in advance.
Project Deposits and Payment
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total project fee is required to reserve your project date and begin work. The remaining balance is due upon project completion, prior to the delivery of final files or site launch.
Payment plans may be available upon request and must be agreed upon in writing before the project begins. Failure to complete payment by the agreed date may result in a pause of work until the balance is settled.
Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of invoicing.
Revisions
Each package includes a set number of revision rounds as specified at the time of proposal. A revision round is defined as a consolidated set of feedback submitted in a single communication. Revisions beyond the included rounds will be billed at the current hourly rate.
Revision requests must be submitted within 7 days of each deliverable being shared. Feedback received after this window may be treated as a new revision round.
Timeline
Estimated project timelines are provided in good faith and are dependent on timely client feedback and content delivery. Delays caused by late feedback, missing assets, or unresponsiveness may extend the project timeline. Cara Christine Creates is not responsible for timeline extensions resulting from client delays.
If a client goes unresponsive for more than 14 days without prior notice, the project may be paused and rescheduled based on current availability.
Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing all necessary content, copy, images, login credentials, and feedback in a timely manner. Cara Christine Creates is not responsible for delays or quality issues resulting from incomplete or late content delivery.
Clients are also responsible for reviewing all deliverables carefully and communicating feedback clearly. Final approval from the client constitutes acceptance of the work as delivered.
Intellectual Property and Ownership
Upon receipt of final payment in full, the client receives full ownership of all final deliverables produced for their project, including website files, logo files, and brand assets.
Cara Christine Creates retains the right to display completed work in a portfolio, on social media, and in marketing materials unless the client requests otherwise in writing prior to project completion.
Any third-party assets used in the project (stock photos, fonts, plugins) are subject to their own licensing terms. The client is responsible for ensuring continued compliance with those licenses after project handoff.
Cancellations and Refunds
The initial deposit is non-refundable in all cases, as it compensates for time reserved and work begun on your project.
If a client cancels after work has begun but before completion, payment is due for all work completed up to the point of cancellation, in addition to the initial deposit. Any overpayment beyond work completed will be refunded.
Cara Christine Creates reserves the right to terminate a project if a client is abusive, unresponsive for an extended period, or in violation of these terms. In such cases, a prorated refund may be issued at sole discretion.
Limitation of Liability
Cara Christine Creates is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of delivered work, including but not limited to lost revenue, lost business, or website downtime. Our total liability in any circumstance is limited to the total amount paid for the project in question.
Website Performance and SEO
While we follow SEO best practices and optimize for performance, we do not guarantee specific search engine rankings, traffic numbers, or business outcomes. Search engine algorithms are outside our control and results will vary.
Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential any sensitive business information shared during the course of the project. This includes but is not limited to business strategies, unreleased products, financial information, and client lists.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut. Any disputes arising from these terms or from a project engagement shall be resolved in the courts of Connecticut.
Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated periodically. The version in effect at the time a project proposal is signed governs that engagement. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date.
